Fargo AirSho 2007

The show on June 16 and 17 was a success despite the rain, wind and swamp. Early estimates put the crowds at 20,000 to 25,000 people attending.

We were fortunate to have the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, as well as the Canadian Air Force F-18 Demonstration Team perform.

Along side them, were the U.S. Air Force A-10 demo team and the Heritage Flight.

Bill Stein performed amazing stunts in his Kivko Edge 540 aircraft and so did Jim "Fang" Maroney with his deHavilland Super Chipmunk aircraft.

Did Paul Stender ever win the race in his jet powered delivery truck against both Bill and Jim? I believe both planes had a slight advantage

Personally, I want to thank the F-15 pilots, 2 Tall and Thug, from the 114th in Klamath Falls, OR. They allowed me to stand on the F-15 during the Blue Angles flight on Sunday to take pictures. It certainly is a different view than from the ground. Also, thanks to Craig Haberlack (http://chaberlack.smugmug.com/) and Todd Atchison for providing some of these pictures

Congratulations to the committee, sponsors and volunteers for putting on such a great show. Over the past 16 years the Fargo AirSho has invested over $250,000 for causes in the Fargo-Moorhead area. The attendance this weekend will help put more dollars to work for the future of our region
